The Lord Restores All Things Sonya Campbell

When I was going to church and trying to get clean, I started using Kratom because, "It's natural." I was uneducated about it, but I was so tired of hearing the word "opiate" that I couldn't see straight. You can buy Kratom at a gas station right next to vapes and beer. I won't argue with anyone on Facebook about this drug.  It is just as dangerous as the rest of them. Every drug starts out small and eventually turns into a monster.

I was easily spending more than $60 a day on this drug. Eventually, it became the hardest drug I ever had to quit. It got so bad that I developed liver problems and had to go back on Suboxone. The anxiety was terrible. I couldn't eat for weeks. I had no appetite, and my irritability was through the roof. I literally thought this stuff was going to kill me. I probably should have gone to the ER, but I didn’t.  I did end up going to my church for support. They helped me get in to see a Suboxone doctor and even paid for my initial appointment and lab work.  While I was taking this "medicine," I experienced sleep paralysis. Almost every night, a demon would come and sit on my chest, and I couldn't move or scream until I began to speak the name of Jesus. Then it would flee. The Suboxone doctor lowered my dosage each month. He was very expensive. Eventually, I had to jump off at 2 milligrams against my doctor's wishes. He told me I would relapse because of the withdrawals. I replied, "My God reigns! He's alive and rose from the grave!" I never looked back!

I hated being on Kratom and Suboxone. At the time, I didn't regret using Suboxone as a tool. It certainly helped. I used to speak against it because the withdrawals can be just as bad, but I had a four-year-old son to take care of, and my husband was an OTR truck driver. Detoxing under the care of a doctor is much better than trying to quit something that comes in a gas station baggie.  However, I've reached the point where I no longer like advocating for either one. I believe that if Christians would take their rightful place in the authority we have under Jesus Christ, there would be many more people delivered from these demons. We have been given authority to cast out demons in His name.

Side note: My mom told me, "Just because something is natural doesn't mean it's good for you." Poison ivy is natural, but we don't go rolling around in it. She was right!

Matthew 10:1 (NKJV)   "And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease." Romans 8:11 (NKJV) “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you."

Are you struggling with addiction or know someone who is? Cry out to the Lord! He hears you. He delivers.  Need help finding a treatment center? Reach out. You don't have to suffer in silence, alone, not knowing what to do next. The Lord restores everything!
