Kim’s Journey

Hi, my name is Kim Keck. I am a wife, mother, author, business owner, missionary, and Mimi. I am really excited to meet you all at the retreat in October!

As we prepare for this retreat and encounter with the Lord, I pray that each of you be open to what the Holy Spirit wants to do! When I was first asked to speak, I thought I knew what I was to speak about, but the Lord was like “nope, we are going to speak about this.”  That’s why I say be open to what the Holy Spirit wants to do!

I recently just returned from my fourth trip to Uganda, from an orphanage that is very dear to my heart! I’ll share more of my story later, but let me just tell you, these children taught me the true meaning of Joy! They have absolutely nothing material wise, but they have joy like I have never seen before! It is so contagious, and it made me put my own life in perspective.

Joy is one of the most beautiful gifts that God gives us, and it can be found in every season of our lives. Joy is a choice we make, rooted in our faith!

“I have told you this so that my joy may be complete.” – John 15:11

This joy that the children taught me, led me to write a devotional called “Joy In The Morning.” I lost my son in 2018, and my joy was depleted by his death. But God had a different plan and restored my joy THROUGH his death. I know that doesn’t make a lot of sense, but it will when I share my story.
